(TSX:GDI) which is among the top five largest facility services providers in North America with over 24,000 employees and with operations across Canada and the U.S. ESC now operates under Ainsworth Inc., the GDI Group of Companies’ technical trades division (AINSWORTH) that is a leading service provider in building automation and energy management. In the 1980’s, DDC systems were just breaking into the marketplace. Energy prices were rising, and building owners everywhere were looking for ways to improve their buildings. It was during this time we founded ESC Automation, to help buildings run more efficiently. We still do that today, across 1000s of sites.
